Rehearsal and Performances

bulletRehearsals are on the Angelico Hall Stage, 7:00-9:30 p.m., on Tuesdays, unless otherwise noted in the rehearsal and performance schedule.   Please note that this is a new starting time.

We plan to perform with orchestra and will raise funds for the players.  Your contributions are gratefully appreciated.

Each member should become familiar with the music before we rehearse it.  Using the rehearsal schedule as your guide, you can practice on your own the selections which will be covered in rehearsal, or you can take advantage of our pre-rehearsal sessions where we will become familiar with the music to be rehearsed.

New Community Members will be auditioned.

The audition will include:

bulletAssessment of vocal range (simple five-tone transposed patterns (do re mi fa sol fa mi re do) and recommended voice part.

bulletAssessment of ability to match pitch readily and sing independently (pitches are played and you repeat them, and sing a canon or round i.e. Row, Row, Row Your Boat or similar).

bulletAssessment of your music reading ability (that you can identify your part and follow its contour on the printed page).  This does not mean that you must be an advanced reader.
